(Mu'amin) 40 : 3
غَافِرِ الذَّنْبِ وَقَابِلِ التَّوْبِ شَدِيدِ الْعِقَابِ ذِي الطَّوْلِ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ إِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ
Forgiver of offences, Acceptor of repentance, severe in retribution, having wide influence, there is no Deity except He, to Him all are returned.
There is no one except Allah to invoke, to seek help, to fear and to answer about this worldly life. He alone is forgiving the sins and offences, and accepting the repentances of His servants. This verse warns that whoever after receiving Adhikr-the Ticket to the Paradise-if doesn’t utilise It, he has severe punishment. See explanation 20: 3; 39: 53-55, 63.
